This butternut squash and apple bake casserole recipe combines all the best flavors of fall. Great for a Thanksgiving dinner instead of candied yams.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Combine brown sugar, melted butter, flour, salt, and mace in a bowl.
Arrange squash in an ungreased 9x13-inch baking dish; top with apple slices, then sprinkle with brown sugar mixture. Cover the dish with a lid or aluminum foil.
